I received the backrest very quickly.

It is a nice looking addition to the bike.

The only problem was trying to line up 4 longer bolts that secure the backrest and the factory rear grab rails.

The documentation was pretty good but could be much better.

Overall I would give it 4 of 5 stars.

The backrest fits the bike and works well. It was a bit tricky to install, but required no drilling or extra parts.
The "usually ships in 24 to 72 hours" turned out to be about two months. After finally demanding that the order be cancelled after numerous communications with Shad, they finally shipped the product. Fortunately I had not already purchased a different backrest (though I was about to) when I finally received a shipping notification with a valid tracking number. I will not be doing business with Shad in the future.

Other than it took a very long time to receive my backrest (approx. 7+ months), it installed easily and fit well. I did have to add some washers to the back screws on each side due to some play from the longer screws not going all the way in.

I bought this backrest for my '14 Honda CTX 700. Did not need additional hardware. Mounted right up to the bike with no hassles! It looks great and my wife loves it. If you have a CTX and are looking for a passenger backrest, look no further. I am not at all disappointed with this product.

This seat looks promising but they have no pictures of it working with the saddlebags because they both attach to the same mounting area. I have yet to receive an email response from Shad but looking at the installation pdf doesnt seem promising which is dissappointing since im not going to uninstall my $800 side cases every time the wife wants to ride. Good looking product though and much cheaper than the only other seat on the market.
