I bought the Shad SH38X Expandable Side Cases, and expandable inner bags for my Triumph Tiger 850 Sport about 6 weeks, and 3000 miles ago. In a word; Excellent. My 1st trip with the bags was just short of 2500 miles which unfortunately included 2 days of all-day, heavy rain. i was somewhat leery of how the expanding case feature would hold up to rain, but not 1 drop of rain entered the panniers and the expandable inner bags work great in either mode. The hardware for the pannier expansion is easy to use and very sturdy. In my daily commute, I do not require the cases to be in the expanded mode, and this cuts the width of the bike down about 7-8 inches which is really nice to have that flexibility. I have over 150,000 miles of touring with various sport touring bikes / luggage set ups, and these panniers are the best I have ever run. I highly recommend these panniers and expandable inner bags!
