Engineering and design come together in the SH38X Expandable to create a luggage set that stands out for its expandable mechanism, based on the concept coming from architecture: Tensigrity.

This technology has been adapted to the needs of the motorcycle world to create a new concept unique to date: dynamic tensigrity. An innovative mechanical system of compensated tension that allows the cases to expand and contract telescopically in a matter of seconds and uniformly. Its cutting-edge design and technology have earned it the prestigious Reddot Design Award 2024.

The SH38X expands +70mm, which increases its volume by 40%, allowing to store an XL modular helmet inside (ECE 22-06). This makes the SH38X the most compact expandable helmet side case on the market.

Product Details

SHAD SH37 top case offers storage capacity for (1) full face helmet and (1) open face helmet or (1) helmet with additional accessories. A universal baseplate is included.

  • Holds (1) full face helmet and open face helmet
  • Features a Press Lock System and built in Reflector
  • Incorporates a durable rubber gasket to improve locking while protecting the interior from water and dust.
  • With a single hand, the case can be opened, closed and removed without using the key.
  • One turn of the key simultaneously locks access to case contents and secures it to the motorcycle. A set of 2 keys is included.
  • A universal baseplate with hardware is included to mount on a flat rear rack. Check Fit my Ride to determine if a bike specific mounting kit is required for your bike.
  • Size: 16.5x16.9x12.2 inches (WxDxH).
  • Maximum recommended load: 7 lbs.
  • Optional accessories: Passenger Backrest (D0RI60), Color Plates, Brake light kit (D0B29KL)

Nice case for the money

Very happy with this case from Shad. Installed it on my 2008 BMW F800ST and it mounted quickly to the BMW rack with no problems. Great case for the money.
