Once installed this mount is very sturdy. However, this particular kit (SV650 2016+) has instructions that show 4 spacers that are keyed to the mounting plate. This plate is then raised and fastened into a recess under the tail. The keying allows you to keep them aligned during this upside down, hidden assembly. However, the included spacers are keyed to weldnuts on the underside of the tail instead; which doesn't allow you to keep them aligned on the flat plate as you raise it into the recess. Super awkward. You can make it easier on yourself by inserting something down through the weldnuts in the tail (I used allen wrenches) and using them to keep the whole assembly aligned. Then take out the allen wrenches when you begin to insert the bolts.
